Sevilla very close to finalising agreement with new manager

Sevilla is looking for its sixth coach in less than two years, after parting ways with Quique Sanchez Flores at the end of the season. The replacement has already been identified and is said to be about to be announced.

According to Marca, Sevilla are in advanced talks with Francisco Javier Garcia Pimienta, who announced last week that he would leave Las Palmas at the end of the season. After Los Nervionenses missed out on Gagoba Arrasate to Mallorca, the former Barcelona B coach has been planted as their first candidate, and they are now on the verge of agreeing terms.

Negotiations between Sevilla and Garcia Pimienta have continued over the past two days, and an agreement is said to be very close. Both parties hope to have everything finalized by the end of this week, so work can begin to plan the team for next season.

Garcia Pimienta would be a good appointment for Sevilla. Las Palmas performed very well in the 2023-24 season, despite going winless in 14 matches to end the season. A new era abounds in Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
