Jose Bordalas goes to former club Valencia in pursuit of Getafe defensive reinforcements

Getafe are already setting their sights on the summer transfer window, and one area they need to address is right-back. Long-serving club Damian Suarez left over the winter in favor of a move to Brazil, and needs to be replaced for next season.

They are looking for a familiar face, according to Diario AS, with Jose Bordalas leading the charge for Valencia's Dimitri Fulquier. Bordalas managed the Frenchman at Los Che, and also during the 2018-29 season at Getafe, when he was on loan.

Volquier is very popular at Getafe due to his uncompromising style and commitment in every match. In this sense, he is seen as the ideal successor to Damian Suarez, who became a notorious figure in La Liga due to his style of play at the Coliseum.

Valencia are likely to allow Faulquier to leave in the summer, as they already have Thierry Correa at right-back. There is a good chance this deal will come to fruition, provided Getafe pays for it.
