Vitor Roque to leave Barcelona this summer – decision taken

Barcelona striker Vitor Roque has had little game time since his arrival last January, after the Blaugrana spent €30m plus €31m in variables on the 19-year-old. Xavi Hernandez is believed to be of the opinion that Roque should leave on loan, but agent Andre Cory has declared that this is not an option. And it looks as if he's going to be on his way out one way or another.

According to SER Catalunya, reported by Diario AS, the decision has been made for Roque to leave Barcelona this summer, whether it be on loan or via transfer. Sporting director Deco, who finalized his transfer, extending the deal to January of this summer, agreed with Xavi that the 19-year-old should head elsewhere.

Cory had told the Catalan press in recent weeks that Roque would not leave on loan, and that he would either stay in Barcelona and play more, or leave on a permanent deal. This leaves his future in some doubt.
