Despite Leipzig’s resilience, Vinícius Jr. and his attacking partner Jude Bellingham orchestrated a brilliant exchange that led to Vinícius scoring a crucial goal midway through the second half. This goal secured a 1-1 draw on the night and a 2-1 aggregate victory for Real Madrid.

Following the final whistle at the Santiago Bernabéu, Vinícius’s name took centre stage in the headlines, not only for his match-winning performance but also for his celebration, which quickly went viral on social media.

On the same day that Cristiano Ronaldo congratulated Real Madrid on their 122nd anniversary, Vinícius Jr. showed his appreciation for the Portuguese superstar by incorporating a celebratory tribute into his post-match celebration.

This gesture highlighted the mutual respect and admiration between the two players, further endearing Vinícius to the Real Madrid faithful.
