Max Verstappen has revealed he has little desire to expand his Formula 1 career and reverse Fernando Alono's time in the sport.
Alonso, who already holds the record for the most races entered and started, recently committed to Aston Martin for at least the next two seasons.
The two-time world champion's final decade will take him beyond 45 and he will become the first driver to race in Formula 1 at that age in more than 50 years.
Verstappen made his debut nine seasons ago when he was 17, and more recently has voiced his disapproval of the sport's trend of introducing additional races and an alternative Formula 1 Sprint format.
The Dutchman stressed that it is unlikely that he will be present on the network when he turns 45 in more than 18 years.

Verstappen was not surprised by the decision
Alonso's extension at Aston Martin came after speculation he could switch to Mercedes or even make a big move to Red Bull.
However, his decision to commit to Aston Martin came as no surprise to Verstappen.
