Unai Emery begs Aston Villa to bid ₦14 billion for Super Eagles star


Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has reportedly asked sporting director Monchi to pursue the Leicester City Super Eagles player.

Aston Villa coach Unai Emery is reportedly seeking to sign Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Villans are charging for a place in next season's Champions League and are already assessing the market for the possibility of playing in Europe's elite competition next season.

Emery pushes Iheanacho

According to Football Fancast, Emery has asked sporting director Monchi to sign Iheanacho from Leicester City.

The Foxes are champions of the Championship and are set to return to the Premier League next season. It is increasingly likely that Iheanacho, a star striker, could jump ship before returning to the top flight, as he has a string of suitors and Leicester have imposed a £8m price tag on him.

Aston Villa was embarrassed from Europe by Olympiacos of Greece, but it occupies fourth place in the Champions League, with a high probability of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

Emery alongside highly-rated sporting director Monchi are said to be already preparing for next season and have identified Iheanacho as an important addition.
