Thiago Silva, the veteran Chelsea defender, has hinted at making a pivotal decision regarding his future with the club.

The 39-year-old Brazilian, who was visibly emotional after Chelsea's loss to Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final, revealed that fans will soon find out whether he will extend his stay or bid farewell to Stamford Bridge.

In an exclusive interview with Hayters TVAs reported by the Daily Mail, Silva expressed his feelings, saying: “You'll find out in the coming days. I don't want to say anything now with my head in defeat, a little sad. But sooner or later it will happen. The news will get out.”

When pressed further about his future plans, Silva confirmed, “I've already made a decision in my head. I don't think it's great that a lot of people are talking about this. I'm sorry. You'll know soon.”

Earlier this year, Silva hinted at the end of his career, saying: “We know it's almost over, but it's not the end yet. So choose the right time.”

“I'm still able to keep up a good performance, my numbers are good, and it gives me peace of mind to keep going. Now the future belongs to God.”

Silva, famous for his intelligent defensive prowess, joined Chelsea in 2020 from Paris Saint-Germain and quickly became a darling of Blues fans. “It felt like love at first sight,” he said, reflecting on his time at Stamford Bridge.
