While there will be natural nerves to any final match, few teams will go into a Champions League final with the peace of mind that Real Madrid has. With 14 titles behind them, and one just two years ago, Los Blancos are confident of victory, but are aware of three main risks.
This is according to Relevo, who say one of their biggest concerns with Borussia Dortmund is Karim Adeyemi. The 22-year-old German striker has astonishing pace, and while they trust Dani Carvajal and Ferland Mendy to stop Jadon Sancho in one-on-one battles, few can keep up with Adeyemi.
One other major concern is the set pieces. Los Blancos withstood the siege of Manchester City's corners in the quarter-finals, but did not look very confident, and would concede three days later in the second leg from a corner kick against Barcelona. Thibaut Courtois, who excels in the air, returns, but Borussia Dortmund also scored in Paris in the semi-final from a corner kick.
Finally, turnovers when Real Madrid lose the ball are the other big concern. Dortmund are unlikely to press hard, but with the likes of Adeyemi they are usually quick on the counter-attack, something that could unsettle the Spanish defence. Los Blancos surrendered on the counter-attack against Bayern Munich, but they are not accustomed to such effective play on the counter-attack, and at Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Manchester City, their city rivals only sought to exploit them in this way.
