Red Bull F1 boss Horner under investigation over alleged misconduct


Red Bull Formula 1 team principal Christian Horner has been placed under investigation by the energy drinks giant over alleged misconduct, international media has reported.

A statement from the champion F1 team’s parent company, widely circulated across media outlets including Dutch paper De Telegraaf – where the story broke – F1’s UK broadcaster Sky Sports and the BBC, acknowledges that an external investigation is being carried out by “an external an external specialist barrister”.

Horner was quoted by De Telegraaf as denying the allegations that Red Bull says triggered the investigation, while Sky says he will continue in his F1 role while the investigation is ongoing.

Horner, who turned 50 last year, has been at the helm of Red Bull’s F1 operation since 2005 following its takeover of Jaguar’s works F1 team.
