Real Madrid on alert as starlet Endrick Felipe is stretchered off

Future Real Madrid star Andric Felipe is set to have a big summer, but after injury forced him off on Wednesday night, his plans are in doubt.

As Diario AS recounted, Endrik went down after the hour mark against Sao Paulo in Palmeiras' 2-1 win. It appeared that he was injured in his right leg without anyone else being involved in the accident, and he fell limping to the ground, before being stretched out. The suggestion is a possible muscle tear.

They say he could be sidelined for two to three weeks, although any longer would put his participation in the Copa America in doubt. The 17-year-old will join Real Madrid on July 21 when he turns 18 after the tournament, which will be held in the United States of America, after being selected in the Brazil squad. More tests will be conducted on Thursday. That could mean it was his last game for Palmeiras as well.

After an excellent display and goal for Brazil at the Santiago Bernabéu in March, there is plenty of excitement to see this young star in the Spanish capital. With his season starting in January, it would not be surprising to see Carlo Ancelotti take things slowly with him.
