Nacho Fernandez rejects offers to complete MLS switch

Real Madrid captain Nacho Fernandez has made a decision on his summer transfer destination.

The veteran defender will end his 23-year association with the club this summer after opting not to extend his contract in the Spanish capital.

Nacho looked set to sign another year's extension in accordance with Real Madrid's policy on players over the age of 30.

However, despite last season confirming his first-team role, the situation has changed in recent months.

Despite stepping in to play a strong role in recent Champions League matches, his relationship with Carlo Ancelotti has cooled, as he prepares to move on.

The experienced centre-back is rumored to be upset by recent selection calls and the decision to replace him in the 2-2 Champions League draw with Bayern Munich.

According to the latest published by Marca, Nacho is not interested in moving to the Saudi Professional League, with the target of his desire remaining focused on moving to the MLS in North America.
