Matteo Moretto Transfer Column: Barcelona forward plans, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joselu Mato

Mateo Moreto gives Football España exclusive information on the latest deals dominating the newspapers in Spain, as revealed in Fabrizio Romano's daily briefing.

There has been talk about Robert Lewandowski's future, but as he said, and as his agent Pini Zahavi has said, he is very happy at Barcelona. Barcelona are not trying to get rid of him either, or at least that is not in their plans. If a big offer comes along and tempts both of them, it will be something to talk about, but unless something unexpected happens, he will be at Barcelona next season.

Then there's Vitor Roque – I still don't think there's a firm decision on his future one way or the other this summer, whether to loan him out or sell him, but it's clear they're looking for a solution. There's not much to add from what we discussed last week.

Barcelona has to change some pieces in the attacking line, if Vitor Roque leaves, we have to see what happens with Joao Felix. If Rocky leaves, I think it's obvious they'll be looking for another number nine, because he'll be short. They'll be working on an alternative, but I don't think it's clear to them yet what they're looking for. If the club comes with €45m, they will take that and go for another striker with that money. If Roque leaves on loan, they will look for another loan to fill the position.

My colleague Alfredo Mattila reported in Relivo that Real Madrid would like to renew Dani Carvajal, and that he has a very good relationship with the club. I can confirm that Real Madrid are very satisfied with Carvajal and want to extend his stay.

On the field, they think he is at a very good level, but off it, he is of utmost importance in the dressing room. Next year, Real Madrid will be younger, like Andric Filipe, so there are multiple reasons why they should renew his contract.

The Trent Alexander-Arnold link is still on the table, because if he doesn't renew with Liverpool, he would be a great opportunity on the market, so they will wait and see how that plays out. Then there is obviously the Alphonso Davies deal on the other side of the defence, and a lot will depend on Bayern Munich's requirements, so Real Madrid are waiting for that as well.

The idea is to bring Indrek and bring back Joselu as well. My understanding is that there are teams asking about Joselu, he is an experienced striker, scores goals and is cheap, so he could be a bargain.

But he has given absolute priority to Real Madrid, and the two sides will soon sit down to work on that, and I think keeping Joselu is Real Madrid's priority as well.

He is a striker with different characteristics, and so is Endrik, he can play a different role. Kylian Mbappe can play anywhere, and Real Madrid will have a lot of games, so they will all have the opportunity to play.
