Just like Damian Lillard in the 3-point contest, Mac McClung won back-to-back dunk contest titles.
After taking home the NBA Dunk Contest trophy for the second consecutive year, Mac McClung, a player for the Osceola Magic, is the back on top of the social media trends.
Two of the best went head to head but it was Steph Curry who came out on top against Sabrina Ionescu in 3-point shootout.
In the opening round, McClung overcame against rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr. of the Miami Heat and forward Jacob Toppin of the New York Knicks.
It is back-to-back for Damian Lillard as he wins the NBA All-Star 3-point contest.
He defeated Boston Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown in the championship round.
Mac McClung jumps over Shaquille O’Neal
Shaquille O’Neal was brought out by McClung for the final dunk, and after he put on his high school jersey, he leaped over him to complete the feat.
The judges gave that dunk the only all-50 rating of the night.
McClung showed his vertical prowess on multiple occasions to stand out among contestants.
Following in the footsteps of Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins, Harold Miner, Nate Robinson, and Zach LaVine, McClung becomes a member of an exclusive group of multi-time champions.
