For the second summer in a row, there are many doubts about Joao Felix's situation. In 2023, he ended up joining Barcelona on deadline day, although he is unlikely to make the same move in 2024.

According to Ruben Urrea (via Sport), extending Felix's loan spell at Catalonia is viewed as a non-viable option by the player himself, his agent Jorge Mendes, as well as Atletico Madrid, his parent club. As such, work is already underway to bring in new offers for the Portuguese international.
Mendes is already dealing with two offers for Felix, which could be made once Barcelona's loan spell ends after this weekend. However, Atletico insist they want the best possible offer and, if that does not arrive, they are prepared to keep the 24-year-old for the pre-season, despite him not featuring in Diego Simeone's plans moving forward.

It remains to be seen how Felix's situation at Atletico Madrid will develop in the coming months. At the moment, the only thing that is certain is that he will not return to Barcelona colors next season.
