Isle of Man TT Set for Three Thursday Races as Superstock Rescheduled

The Isle of Man TT has been rescheduled again due to weather in 2024, with the first Superstock race postponed to a later date.

Superstock Race 1 was originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 4, but was postponed to Wednesday, June 5 after rain fell Monday night and into Tuesday morning. It was scheduled to start at 14:00, around an hour after the conclusion of Supertwin Race 1, which saw Michael Dunlop take his 27th TT win.

However, rain began to fall in various places around the 37.7-mile TT Mountain course, and standing water in several places around the lap forced the track clerk to postpone Superstock Race 1 once again.

Delays to Tuesday's races already mean that Thursday will include both the Supersport Race 2 and Sidecar Race 2 that were scheduled to take place on Wednesday, while Friday will see the second Superstock TT and Supertwin Race 2. Saturday is scheduled to conclude the racing week with the Senior TT. .

The new schedule includes three races on Thursday. Sidecar Race 2 has been reduced to two laps in distance and will start at 11:20. Superstock Race 1 will then run three laps at 13:00, before Supersport Race 2 concludes the day's racing starting at 15:30 and again continuing over three laps.

Four races have been run so far, with the Crowe brothers taking their first win in a Sidecar TT, and Michael Dunlop equaling Joey Dunlop's record of 26 wins in a Supersport TT, both on Saturday. On Sunday, Peter Hickman won his 14th Superbike TT, and Wednesday's Supertwin TT saw Michael Dunlop win again.
