Isle of Man TT Friday Races Delayed

Further changes will be made to the Isle of Man TT schedule on Friday, with weather conditions delaying the day's races.

The second races for both Supersport and Superstock are scheduled to take place on Friday, but their start times are now uncertain due to weather conditions. Rain is expected in the morning, but there are still hopes for later in the day.

Supersport Race 2 was originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 5, but was initially rescheduled to Thursday, June 6 due to inclement weather on Tuesday, forcing Tuesday's Superstock and Supertwin races to move back one day.

However, only the Supertwin race was able to be completed on Wednesday as rain started falling again before the start of the Supersport race.

Supersport was then postponed to Thursday, but the race was then postponed due to a red flag in the Sidecar race that opened the day. Superstock finished second, but Supersport was then postponed until after 3pm, too long for the weather to wait, forcing it back to Friday to contest the second Superstock race, and the second Supertwin race to Saturday to be run over . Two laps, shortening the Senior TT by four laps.

Six races have been run so far, with the Crowe brothers taking their first win in the Sidecar TT and going on to sweep the class in Sidecar Race 2. Michael Dunlop equaled Joey Dunlop's record of 26 wins in the Supersport TT, then surpassed it in the Supertwin TT on Wednesday. Peter Hickman won his 14th Superbike TT on Sunday.
