Isle of Man TT Cancels Thursday Supersport Race, New Schedule to Come

The Isle of Man TT has been rescheduled again due to weather in 2024, with the second Supersport race postponed to a later date.

Supersport Race 2 was originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 5, but was initially rescheduled to Thursday, June 6 due to inclement weather on Tuesday, forcing Tuesday's Superstock and Supertwin races to move back one day.

However, only the Supertwin race was able to be completed on Wednesday as rain started falling again before the start of the Supersport race.

Supersport was then postponed to Thursday, but the race was then postponed due to a red flag in the Sidecar race that opened the day. Superstock finished second, but Supersport was then postponed until after 3pm, too long for the weather to wait.

The new schedule for Friday has not yet been published. The original schedule includes Superstock Race 2 and Supertwin Race 2 scheduled for Friday, but it is likely that a second Supersport race will be added to the schedule as well.

Four races have been run so far, with the Crowe brothers taking their first win in a Sidecar TT, and Michael Dunlop equaling Joey Dunlop's record of 26 wins in a Supersport TT, both on Saturday. On Sunday, Peter Hickman won his 14th Superbike TT, and Wednesday's Supertwin TT saw Michael Dunlop win again.
