EXCL: Details revealed on La Liga top scorer Artem Dovbyk’s enticing release clause

Artem Dovbek had a fantastic season in La Liga. Having joined from Dnipro-1 last summer, the Girona striker has scored 20 goals so far, which has seen him lead the Pichichi Cup race with two rounds to go.

It is no surprise that Dovbeck has attracted attention due to his goals and performances, which have led Girona to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in their history. Clubs such as Juventus, Napoli and Milan have been linked, and any party keen on a move already knows the price it would take to get them out of Catalonia.

As Fabrizio Romano told Daily Briefing, Dovbick's release clause with Girona is €40 million, and he will not leave in the summer unless that is triggered.

“He's really open (to any club), not to a specific league. It depends on the project, the manager, what they want to do with him… But Dovbek would be available for €40m for sure given there's a release clause in his contract.” Chelsea have been rumored to be on the move In January, but it was never close in January, and in the summer it is still open.

Girona may find it difficult to keep Dovpik if clubs approach him, although they would be compensated very well if he left, which would be a positive aspect.
