Carlo Ancelotti insists Real Madrid veteran could still remain at club -‘He’s not decided yet’

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that Nacho Fernandez can still stay at the club after the end of the season, amid speculation about his future. The 34-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and has been heavily linked with an exit.

The latest is that Inter Miami could be a potential destination for Nacho, and there is no doubt that MLS is his preferred option. Ancelotti said there was still a chance he could stay.

“He has not decided yet, we are waiting, but we are not in a hurry. After the season is over, he will be able to choose what he wants to do next season. Now his idea is to try to win 15th place.

Earlier in the week, it was reported that Castilla midfielder Mario Martin intends to fight for his place in the first team next year, with Toni Kroos' departure looming. The Italian manager did not see any obstacles.

He added: “He is developing very well, he can be in the team without a problem, and he has quality and good behavior.” He, like other young players, can think about a future in which he will be in the first team.

Competition for places is likely to be fierce, with Jude Bellingham likely to play deeper next season. Martin is also admired by David Ancelotti, according to recent reports. If Nacho does leave at the end of the season, it is believed that Rafa Martin, currently on loan at Alaves, will take his place in the team.
