Bayern Munich latest side to take interest in 21-year-old La Liga winger

Athletic Club winger Neco Williams is undoubtedly one of the most talented and exciting players in Europe, and there are few teams who would not be keen to land the Basque winger. It seems as if most clubs with the money, and some without, are considering a move for him.

Williams was reportedly a favorite of former Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez, and has been linked with moves to the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Aston Villa in recent months too. The Copa del Rey winger signed a new contract less than a year ago, until 2027, and is believed to have a release clause approaching €60m.

The latest team to show interest, according to Relevo, is Bayern Munich. The Bavarian giants are considering signing Dani Olmo, a fellow international who also has a €60m release clause, but his name has been buzzing around Bayern's recruitment department in recent weeks.

Sporting director Max Eberl must first seal the new manager at Bayern, which looks as if it will be Vincent Kompany, and the move will undoubtedly require their blessing. However, Eberle is keen to put a plan in place as soon as possible, and Williams is a strong option.

One of Spain's most dangerous and productive wingers this season, Williams' pace and dribbling are enough to strike fear into any defence, and provided his injuries are respected, it seems likely that he will continue to grow. It wouldn't be surprising to see him at any of Europe's top clubs next season.
