Barcelona draw up plan to sign 27-year-old Liverpool star this summer

Barcelona are desperate to sign a new left winger in the summer, given they currently have no natural option there for next season. They have been linked with Neco Williams, Dani Olmo and Porto's Pepe in recent weeks, and now a new name has emerged at the top of the list: Luis Diaz.

According to MD, Diaz is the most desirable option for Barcelona officials. They believe the Colombia international would be very interested in joining from Liverpool during the transfer window.

The deal will depend on Barcelona's financial situation. If they can raise enough money to return to La Liga 1:1 in the summer, the chances of a deal being reached will increase dramatically. Right now, there is a plan in place for this eventuality to occur.

Liverpool would likely demand a very large fee to part ways with Diaz, and there have been questions about his end product over the past 12 months. Since he is also 27 years old, it would certainly make more sense for Barcelona to opt for Williams instead, also considering that he is probably cheaper.
