“After such an incredible occasion against South Africa a few years ago, the opportunity to welcome another international team of Australia's quality to Bristol is very exciting,” Lam said.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for our players to test themselves against a team of international standard, for our staff to put together another unforgettable event, and for our amazing fans to welcome and host Australian fans from around the world in Bristol. We look forward to hosting Joe Schmidt and the Socceroos at Ashton Gate on Friday 8th November “

Schmidt added: “With the British and Irish Lions arriving next year, the November match against the Bristol Bears is a great opportunity for the Australia XV to show their ability against quality opposition, and for the Wallabies to build depth.” For the black series.
