Arsenal vs Manchester City: What 2023/24 Premier League table looks like as pulsating title race goes to the wire

The Premier League title race looks set to be over with Arsenal and Manchester City closing in on each other at the table.

The 2023/24 Premier League schedule and race is set for a thrilling finale as there is still one point separating Arsenal and Manchester City at the top with a few games remaining.

Mikel Arteta's side regained top spot on Sunday after beating Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford, 24 hours after defending champions City beat Fulham 4-0 to briefly level on points.

The Chelsea player has been involved in 19 goals since the turn of the year, while the Arsenal striker trails the Englishman by five goals.

Arsenal vs Manchester City: The English Premier League schedule is tight

Despite what the Premier League table says, Pep Guardiola's men still have a game in hand against Tottenham which could prove crucial in the intense clash between the pace-setters.

At the moment, Arsenal sit first on 86 points, while City trail on 85 having played one game less in a remarkably close tussle for Premier League glory.

The two title contenders are far from the chasing group, with Liverpool seven points behind in third place as they seek to secure qualification for the Champions League.

On the other hand, the three teams that were promoted to the Premier League last season, namely Luton Town, Burnley and Sheffield United, returned to the championship as the relegation battle took shape.

But all eyes will be on the action at the top in the final week, as Arsenal and City go head-to-head in one of the most exciting Premier League encounters in living memory.

Arsenal's nerve-wracking 1-0 win at Old Trafford marked their fifth successive Premier League win, as the Gunners continue to lead the way in their quest for a first title since 2004.

However, City's relentless winning machine has not stopped either, with Guardiola's men now unbeaten in 33 matches in all competitions following the Craven Cottage trip.

The remaining matches could hardly be more contrasting – Arsenal host struggling Everton while City host West Ham in a match that harkens back to City's first win under current ownership.

With not much difference between them over the course of an epic 10-month season, predicting this year's Premier League outcome remains as difficult as ever.

But one thing is certain – drama, tension and volatility are all guaranteed in what will become a title race for the ages over the next two weeks.
