Marco Pizzicchi has signed for Aprilia in the MotoGP Championship from 2025, meaning his departure from the VR46 Racing team and from Ducati.
Bezzecchi will join Jorge Martin in the Aprilia works team from next season, with Noale confirming an Italian rider for its project for the first time since 2021, when Lorenzo Savadori partnered Aleix Espargaro. Both Bezzecchi and Martin reach two-year deals that will run until the end of 2026.
Regarding the signing of Bezzecchi, Massimo Rivola, CEO of Aprilia Racing, said: “We welcome one of the best Italian talents, who has proven his worth since his debut in the secondary categories, especially last year in MotoGP, with excellent performances and victories even in the breakaways.
“We can't wait to embrace 'Bez' in Noale too; the combination of Italian bike and Italian rider is absolutely fantastic, but even more amazing is the pair of riders that will be formed with Jorge.
“We are really satisfied with our line-up for 2025, Martin and Pizzicchi were our first choice in terms of age, talent, determination and determination and with them we can write a new and important page for Aprilia Racing.”
Bezzecchi's arrival at Aprilia means the Noale marque's factory team is full for 2025, although its Trackhouse Racing team's space bikes remain open.
In addition, Bezzecchi leaves a free space at the VR46 Racing team, meaning another satellite Ducati is available for next year alongside the one left open by Marc Marquez at Gresini after his arrival at the Ducati factory team.
The No. 72 rider is the third rider to win a race with Ducati in 2023 and announces that he will leave at the end of 2024, after Jorge Martin announced that he will join Aprilia and KTM confirmed the signings of Enea Bastianini and Maverick Viñales, the latter opening the space Bezzecchi entered at Aprilia.
