The Isle of Man TT has announced that races scheduled for Tuesday have been postponed with the hope of being rescheduled for later in the race week.

But rain falling overnight and into the morning meant the races were postponed until Tuesday evening. The mountain road was closed at 17:00 and the rest of the TT route was closed at 18:00. One solo warm-up session is planned at 18:30, with the Supertwin TT starting at 19:40.

However, after the warm-up lap, the riders complained that the conditions were not suitable for racing, so the course clerk decided to cancel today's race.

The Superstock TT race was already off to be rescheduled for later in the week after being postponed in the morning, but Supertwin Race 1 should also be ready for later in the week.

Wednesday is scheduled to see the second Sidecar and Supersport TTs, with Sidecar Race 2 scheduled to take place at 11:45, while the Supersport race is scheduled to start at 14:00. Thursday is scheduled to be a rest day, while the second races for both Supertwin and Superstock are scheduled for Friday. Finally, Saturday is scheduled to feature only the Senior TT.

Three races have been run so far, with the Crowe brothers taking their first win in a Sidecar TT, and Michael Dunlop equaling Joey Dunlop's record of 26 wins in a Supersport TT, both on Saturday. On Sunday, Peter Hickman won his 14th Superbike TT.
